Leftovers (Feat. Olen K, L, Berta, Nicole Henry, & All My Faith Lost...) | Music for Midnight #27

February 7, 2024

I'm excited to bring you a unique mix titled "Leftovers." This episode features an eclectic selection of tracks that, for various reasons, hadn't made it into previous episodes. But trust me, these are far from second thoughts; each track is a gem in its own right, showcasing the diverse talents of the artists involved.

April 16, 2009

All My Faith Lost... opens the show with "Angelike" and "Presagio Triste," enveloping us in their ethereal soundscapes that are hauntingly beautiful and deeply moving. This Italian neofolk band is known for their delicate compositions, which often explore themes of love, loss, and nature.

  1. L (L'Âme Immortelle) contributes "Petite" to the playlist. This Austrian darkwave duo, consisting of Thomas Rainer and Sonja Kraushofer, has been a significant influence in the darkwave and gothic scene. Their music often features a compelling mix of melancholic lyrics and contrasting vocal styles. Learn more about L'Âme Immortelle and their discography at L'Âme Immortelle on Wikipedia.

  2. Nicole Henry with "That's All" graces our episode with her soulful voice. Nicole Henry is an acclaimed jazz vocalist known for her emotive, heartfelt interpretations of standards as well as her own original compositions.

  3. Berta brings us "Tan al Limit," a track that showcases their unique sound. Berta's music is characterized by its innovative approach, blending various genres to create something truly unique.

  4. Olen K. closes the episode with "Season of Tears," a track that exemplifies their ability to create immersive and emotionally charged musical landscapes.

All of tonight's music came from IODAPromonet, underscoring the incredible range of independent music out there. This episode is a testament to the depth and variety of talent in the world of independent electronica and ambient music. Enjoy the sonic journey!
